Burlington Academy of Music
Smaller than the guitar and easier to play! The soprano ukulele is a 4-stringed instrument that sounds similar to the guitar. As per Burlington music lessons, it's easy enough for beginners and can be moved over from beginner ukulele to guitar when your toddler gets older. The soprano also makes the size of the instrument less imposing for little hands, so they'll be more likely able to hold all four strings at once as they strum their first chords! These are bright, fun instruments that will provide hours of music-making joy!
Is your child a bit young for guitar lessons? Try the ukulele lessons at our piano lessons, Burlington! Most students start guitar lessons at age 6 and older. While your little one might be a bit small for the guitar, they may be perfect for the ukulele. The soprano ukulele is much smaller than the guitar and it only has 4 strings. Many of the patterns are typically the same as with piano/guitar, so switching between instruments doesn’t have to feel like an impossible task! (Plus, switching to Guthrie Guitar Music Academy is never too late.)
